Looks like we're getting hit with possible snow + temps in the single digits, which means possible power outages.

Here's how to stay comfortable and safe:

Your Power Outage Game Plan:

Charge up. Phones, battery packs, anything electronic. Just get it done today.

Water now, thank yourself later. Fill some jugs and your bathtub before Saturday. If pipes freeze, you'll be glad you did.

Pick your cozy room. Gather blankets, sleeping bags, flashlights, and snacks in one space. Smaller room = easier to keep warm.

Dress in layers. Think thermals, sweats, hoodie, then blanket burrito mode. Warm socks and a beanie make a huge difference.

Safety first: Never use your oven, grill, or generator indoors for heat. Just don't.

Close off extra rooms to trap warmth where you are.

Know your warming centers. KCMO is opening locations Saturday - check their website for addresses.

Check in on neighbors, especially anyone elderly or living alone.
