Another legend among the many you will find here at Legend Flats is Jimi Hendrix! Our beautiful three-bedroom apartment is named after the greatest electric guitar player of all time!

Jimi Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix) was born in Seattle, Washington on November 27th, 1942. Jimi was a Sagitarrius!

Did you know that Jimi Hendrix actually did not make his big break in the United States? That's right, although Mr. Hendrix was born in Seattle and lived in the United States his entire life, Hendrix did not become a well-known musician until he began small tours of clubs in the U.K. In late 1966, Hendrix even performed in front of an audience that included other legends such as Eric Clapton, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Mick Jagger!

Despite being an icon and legend, Hendrix only released three records in his 27 years. All three records are considered classics and have had a massive influence on the music that we know and love today.

Even more impressive, Jimi Hendrix is known for being the greatest electric guitar player of all time, but did you know that he played upside down? That's right! Hendrix was left-handed, so when he got his first guitar, he flipped the guitar and rearranged the strings in the proper order.

Did you know our most popular 2-bedroom floor plan is named after psychedelic rock legend Janis Joplin? Here are a few fun facts about Janis!

Joplin did not fit in with her peers and therefore did not enjoy school. The star was often cast out for being different!

Joplin loved painting and poetry. Although she was known for her wild and rebellious side, she was a sensitive soul and expressed herself creatively through art. A piece of her artwork can be found at the Museum of Golf Coast!

Joplin, together with Juanita Green, the daughter of one of Smith's employees, paid to have a tombstone erected for Bessie Smith. Bessie Smith, or the "Empress of the Blues" was Joplin's idol, and Joplin would even suggest to those close to her that she believed she was the reincarnation of Bessie Smith.

Joplin's psychedelic Porsche sold at auction for $1.76 million! This Porsche was custom painted in a mural featuring: birds, butterflies, mushrooms, and floating eyes!
