When I work with first-time homebuyers, they’re often surprised by what happens during a home inspection.

Here’s what I wish someone had told us beforehand:

🔍 Always attend your inspection in person.
❓ Don’t be shy about asking questions!
🛠️ Understand what’s a major issue versus a minor repair.
🏠 Remember that no house is perfect (even new construction).
📋 Don’t panic at the length of the inspection report—focus on structural, electrical, plumbing, and safety concerns first.
