My dad took this picture of me over the weekend. At first I laughed because it pretty much sums up my life.

Between Falmouth’s Community Festival, a friend’s party, dinner with family, and the Falmouth vs. Yarmouth State Championship lacrosse game, I was showing property, negotiating an offer, talking with the listing agent, and getting everything together for my clients.

The offer was time sensitive. It needed to happen then, not later.

This was also the first weekend since returning from maternity leave that I was REALLY busy with work. And it felt really good.

I love being Hollis and Haines’ mom. I love being Kyle’s wife. I love family dinners, lazy Sundays, and putting my phone away whenever I can.

But I also love this job.

I love the strategy. I love the negotiations. I love helping people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll ever make. I love the fact that no two days are ever the same.

The reality is that sometimes those worlds collide.

Sometimes work happens at a baseball field, on the sidelines of a lacrosse game, during nap time, or at dinner with family. That’s the nature of real estate.

And while balance looks different these days with two little boys, one thing hasn’t changed: when my clients need me, I’m there.

This photo isn’t about being busy. It’s about being passionate.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to build a career I’m proud of, while also building a family that means everything to me. Neither role takes away from the other. If anything, they’ve made me stronger. And if this photo says anything, it’s this: You can be a present mom, a great wife, and still be a badass at what you do. 💪🏻🩶

Congratulations to my friends on closing on this beautiful home in Windham last week! I cannot wait to watch your family grow here. And the best part? The Herods get to spend summers with you on the lake!

✨Sold Story✨
At the beginning of 2026 (when I was about to POP), these guys reached out to me to get their home-buying journey started. They were outgrowing their cute apartment in Portland's East End and needed more space.

Although I was about to go on maternity leave, I had a plan in place for .mainerealtor to help my clients while I was away so they would receive the same care/service that I would provide. They wanted to stay within 30 minutes of Portland, have 3+ bedrooms, 2+ bathrooms, a yard for their daughter, and a home they could make their own without taking on a major renovation. So, we got the ball rolling and started seeing properties!

One of the first weekends they toured homes, they fell in love with a property in SoPo and went under contract. Unfortunately, inspections uncovered too many major concerns, and the deal fell apart. A few weeks later, they went under contract on a new construction home in Windham that seemed perfect. Unfortunately, that deal fell apart too due to circumstances outside of anyone's control.

Luckily, I had an idea! A BEAUTIFUL home in Windham just hit the market the same week their deal fell apart, and we got them in immediately. Abbie showed it to them, and they fell in love. They HAD to have it. Water access. A move-in-ready home. Plenty of space. You really can't beat that.

With Abbie's help, they put together a competitive offer that met the seller's needs, and the seller accepted before waiting for additional offers. They went under contract that same week! After a long closing period to accommodate the seller's timeline, they finally closed last week and are now settled into their beautiful new home. I cannot wait to see how they make it their own and create years of memories there.

This story proves that although real estate can be emotional and hard, especially when deals fall apart, everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the right house is worth waiting for.

Some days, I look around my house and feel completely stressed out by how messy it gets so fast. LIKE HOW?!

There are toys in the living room, dishes on the counter, blankets on the floor, and evidence of two little boys in just about every room. And if I’m being honest, there are moments when I wish it looked more like the photos. The perfectly made beds. The spotless counters. Everything in its place.

But then I remind myself that:
- The toys scattered across the floor mean my boys feel safe and at home here.
- The unmade beds mean we woke up healthy and comfortable.
- The fingerprints, the clutter, the noise, and the chaos are all signs of a home that is being lived in and loved.

As a Realtor, I help people prepare their homes to look picture perfect when it’s time to sell. But the rest of the time?

I hope you’re living in it. Use the dining room table. Let the kids make a mess. Host the family gathering. Build the blanket fort. Fill the rooms with memories.

Because one day, the mess will be gone. And when that day comes, I don’t think we’ll wish our homes had looked more perfect. I think we’ll wish we had soaked up just a little more of the life happening inside them.

A house can be beautiful, but a home filled with memories is priceless.

Love,
Your Realtor

Imagine starting your morning with a coffee from your favorite neighborhood café, taking a walk around Back Cove after work, meeting friends downtown for dinner, and still being home in minutes. That's exactly what I thought about when I walked through 245 Brighton Ave #2.

This bright and welcoming condo offers over 1,000 square feet of living space, beautiful natural light, hardwood floors, in-unit laundry, and something that's surprisingly hard to find in Portland...parking for multiple vehicles. Located in Deering Highlands, you're just minutes from Downtown Portland, Thompson's Point, Maine Med, USM, local restaurants, parks, and everything that makes Portland such a great place to live.

At $330,000, it's the kind of home that can make homeownership in Portland feel attainable without sacrificing location or lifestyle.

I’ve spent the majority of my life Maine and I’ve had a front row seat to watching this city become something truly special. Over the last 15 years the transformation has been remarkable. Artists, chefs, entrepreneurs, young families… people from all walks of life have found their way here and made it richer for it. I’m raising my family here and couldn’t imagine it any other way.

There’s something about waking up close to the ocean, knowing the Old Port is right down the road, that never gets old.

Travel & Leisure just named Portland the most walkable city in the US and if you’ve ever wandered these cobblestone streets you already know why. If you haven’t made it here yet, let this be your sign.
