My dad took this picture of me over the weekend. At first I laughed because it pretty much sums up my life.
Between Falmouth’s Community Festival, a friend’s party, dinner with family, and the Falmouth vs. Yarmouth State Championship lacrosse game, I was showing property, negotiating an offer, talking with the listing agent, and getting everything together for my clients.
The offer was time sensitive. It needed to happen then, not later.
This was also the first weekend since returning from maternity leave that I was REALLY busy with work. And it felt really good.
I love being Hollis and Haines’ mom. I love being Kyle’s wife. I love family dinners, lazy Sundays, and putting my phone away whenever I can.
But I also love this job.
I love the strategy. I love the negotiations. I love helping people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll ever make. I love the fact that no two days are ever the same.
The reality is that sometimes those worlds collide.
Sometimes work happens at a baseball field, on the sidelines of a lacrosse game, during nap time, or at dinner with family. That’s the nature of real estate.
And while balance looks different these days with two little boys, one thing hasn’t changed: when my clients need me, I’m there.
This photo isn’t about being busy. It’s about being passionate.
I’ve worked incredibly hard to build a career I’m proud of, while also building a family that means everything to me. Neither role takes away from the other. If anything, they’ve made me stronger. And if this photo says anything, it’s this: You can be a present mom, a great wife, and still be a badass at what you do. 💪🏻🩶
