On April 29, 2026, the Executive Committee of Sterling Office and Industrial Trust approved the acquisition of Diamond Industrial.

Constructed in 2025, Diamond Industrial is a 195,000 square foot steel warehouse and distribution facility located in North Fargo near Hector Airport. The Sterling Management Team successfully closed this transaction on Thursday, May 21st!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Kira Bjerk to Controller - Multifamily within the Sterling Accounting Department.

Kira joined Sterling in 2020 as a Financial Accountant and has consistently demonstrated strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of our business, and a commitment to excellence in financial reporting. With a primary focus on Sterling’s multifamily portfolio, she has comprehensive knowledge in the unique accounting and reporting requirements of the Sterling Multifamily Trust REIT. Over the years, she has played a critical role in supporting key accounting processes, meeting tight deadlines, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Throughout her tenure, Kira has been a dependable and collaborative team member who is always willing to step in and support the broader team. Her attention to detail, proactive approach, and historical knowledge of the business have made her an invaluable asset to the organization. She also plays a key role in maintaining our internal control documentation, ensuring our processes remain well-documented, compliant, and audit-ready.

We're excited to welcome Mirissa Kronebusch to our team as a Senior Financial Accountant, supporting our commercial portfolio.

Mirissa brings over 10 years of accounting experience across banking, construction, equipment, and nonprofit environments, with strong expertise in GAAP financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger management, budgeting, fixed assets, and audit support. She is known for building reliable processes, strengthening internal controls, and partnering with leadership to ensure financial accuracy and clarity. These are capabilities that will be instrumental as we continue to scale and strengthen our commercial portfolio.

We are thrilled to have Mirissa join our team, and her kind, positive attitude is already a great addition to our culture.
