Sparkle completed her undergraduate degree in 2007, at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she received a BS in Electronic, Computer and Information Technology, magna cm laude. Sparkle launched her career in North Carolina, where she worked with industry-leading technology companies in the field of project management. This eventually led to her desire to own and mana
ge her own company. While maintaining a full-time job in corporate america, In 2014, Sparkle & husband Travis started their first company, an OTR transportation company. After learning about the industry and fine-tuning their passion, Travis and Sparkle opened T-Blacs Trucking, specializing in the transportation of recycled products. In 2016, Sparkle started XII Companies a small business consulting firm that works to assist entrepreneurs to start their businesses, assisting established businesses in streamlining operations, creating business plans, policies and procedures, and marketing plans, to obtain certified minority and women-owned status certifications, business trademarks and more. In 2020, Sparkle co-founded Wreck & Release which is Fayetteville’s first Rage Room, with Ch-Hara Pearson. In June 2020, Sparkle started her real estate career, in NC. Now as a full real estate broker, Sparkle aspires to assist individuals to purchase their homes while educating them throughout the home buying process. As a philanthropist, Sparkle’s desire to see the progression of others, especially the youth, led her to want to start an organization that would focus on giving back instead of making a profit. With the help of her husband, Travis Bass, Sparkle co-founded a non-profit organization called the Cynthia Patterson Foundation (CPF), in honor of her mother who taught in North Carolina for over 20 years and was a paralyzed in a drive-by shooting in 2005. CPF focus is to assist the youth in the communities of North Carolina by providing resources, education, and career opportunities.
