There are certain calls from my EMS 🚑days that I will never forget.

One in particular still stands out. A woman suffered a heart attack while driving. She lost consciousness, ran a red light, lost her pulse, and was involved in a serious accident. When we got her into the ambulance, we immediately began lifesaving measures. Through CPR and the skills of an incredible team, we were able to get her pulse back and maintain it all the way to the hospital.

She survived.

Don’t get me wrong all credit goes to GOD. Only the savior can give life.

However, moments like that gave me purpose. They gave me a reason to show up every day, knowing that what I did could make a difference in someone’s life. Serving my community as a paramedic wasn’t just a job—it was a calling.

When the time came for me to step away from EMS, I grieved that loss deeply. I wasn’t just leaving a career; I was leaving a part of my identity and a purpose I loved.

But God had a different plan.

What I didn’t understand then was that He wasn’t taking away my purpose—He was repositioning it.

Today, my work looks very different, but the passion is the same. Instead of helping save lives in the back of an ambulance, I help people build lives through homeownership. I help families create stability, build generational wealth, and realize that their dreams are possible. I get to encourage people who doubt themselves and show them that they are capable of achieving more than they think.

Looking back, I can see that God was preparing me for a season when I would no longer be able to serve in EMS. He already had another path waiting for me.

I will always be grateful for my years as a paramedic. They taught me how to serve, how to care, and how to advocate for others. Those lessons followed me into real estate.

The uniform changed, but the mission didn’t.

I’m still helping people. I’m still serving my community.

And now I know that this, too, is part of my calling.
