I got paid today.......
and I am not talking about money. I am talking about something so much bigger.
🙌I got paid in an abundance of blessings.
Next month will be one year since I decided to jump from my cozy corner of nursing and try something new, selling Real Estate.
I still work full time as a Nurse for the VA but I am also a licensed Real Estate Agent.
I closed on my first house today, almost a whole year later. This wasn't just any house. This was an answered prayer for my client.
I received her by referral. We looked at ALOT of homes and when we got to this particular location she was so excited. She literally felt at home in this house and in the driveway, when we were getting ready to go, she simply said, "In Jesus' name" and I knew right away that I was part of a much bigger plan than just selling a house. I was blessed to be a part of her story that God was writing right before my eyes.
She made an offer on the home but they just could not quite come to an agreement. They were so close and she decided to not pursue this home and scheduled a date to go see homes in another town. This woman has patience and faith.
A few weeks went by and the house came down in price and God provided all that she needed. She wanted to offer again on this home and an agreement was made.
With just a few minor hiccups in the process she became a homeowner for the very first time, today.
🔑🥹When I handed her the key, it was like my world stopped for just a moment. She immediately teared up and I was overwhelmed with gratitude to be a part of this story, her story, God's story. She worked hard for this moment and she trusted God every step of the way and her faith was so strong in the process that if He had put a stop to the deal she would have humbly walked away.
As a Nurse, my heart swells often with the fact that I get to make a difference in people's lives but this was a whole other level of making a difference and I needed that.
💯She was my very first buyer and if she happens to be the last, I will consider myself blessed with a very short but successful Real Estate career.
Now with all that said. I by no means did this on my own. I have a super strong team (Home Town Realty) that wants me to succeed. My first thank you has to go to my client, Kelli. She is literally heaven sent and I could not have picked a better person to represent for my very first time. Second, Wendy McCook Story , she deserves a whole post of her own but to make it as short as possible for these purposes, she sent me the referral and she walked with me through the entire process so thank you, Wendy! Scott Goodman for being my very first Broker, he was always available to help and answer my questions, Brad Thompson, my current Broker, for believing in me and allowing me to continue to work with this amazing team as he stepped in as our new leader. Becky Biggers Nicholson for being available for questions and always willing to help. Rachel Bender Sanders , who represented the sellers, for being such a great Agent to work with on my first transaction, so understanding, patient and kind. I also want to thank Kyle Cook and Alicia Joyner as the closing attorney's office. Last but not least Terri Littlefield with Barrett Financial Group. I have learned so much in the past month or so from everyone listed and I will forever, be grateful.
