CCHHS Empowerment Services new program, Preventing Housing Insecurity Flexible Funds (PHIFF), is here to help qualified households ‘at risk’ of losing stable housing. The grant can provide up to $3,000 in one-time assistance for unexpected and/or emergency situations, bills, or payments, such as temporary loss of income or a car repair, to help individuals avoid foreclosure or eviction. Assistance can include one month of a past or future rent or mortgage payment. Our goal is to help individuals avoid foreclosure or eviction and maintain housing after one-time assistance.

The peppers don’t wait for anyone. 🌶️ Every variety doing the most while the rest of the garden is still figuring things out. We’ve got heat, color, and zero patience — but the tomatoes? Still a work in progress. Can’t make salsa without ‘em. 🍅 Come on, tomatoes. The peppers are ready.

We showed up for crappie and left with trout — and honestly? We’re not even mad about it!
Birds, butterflies, kayaks drifting by, ponderosa pines all around… some days the fish aren’t even the best part.
