🚨 SCAM ALERT – Vacant Land Owners, Please Read 🚨

This week alone, I’ve received FIVE separate calls from scammers posing as owners of vacant land in our area.

Here’s how it works:

They contact a real estate agent pretending to be the property owner
Provide fake identification and supporting documents
Require we use the seller's choice of title company (also scammers)
Transfer YOUR property to a new buyer
Walk away with the proceeds

By the time it’s discovered, the real owner has no idea their land was ever “sold.”

If you own vacant land, you are especially vulnerable—there’s no home, no occupant, and often less oversight.

What you should do RIGHT NOW:

Check if you purchased Owner’s Title Insurance when you bought the property

Be cautious of any unexpected correspondence related to your land

⚠️ This is happening more often than people realize, and it’s not just in big cities—it’s hitting our local market.

If you have vacant land and want help verifying how it’s protected, I’m happy to tell you how and where to look, no charge. Better to be proactive than deal with a nightmare later.
