Let's talk about interest rates-and why they shouldn't be the only thing you consider when deciding whether to buy a home. 🏡

We understand why so many buyers are hesitant. When mortgage rates are higher than what we've seen in previous years, the monthly payment can feel intimidating.

But there's more to the rent-versus-buy conversation than just comparing monthly payments.

When you rent, you're paying for a place to live without taking on the financial responsibilities of owning the property. And depending on your circumstances, that can absolutely be the right decision.

When you own, a portion of your mortgage payment goes toward paying down your loan and building equity. Over time, that equity can grow as you pay down your mortgage and potentially benefit from property appreciation. 💰

Of course, homeownership also comes with property taxes, insurance, maintenance, and other expenses that need to be part of the equation.

That's why we encourage buyers to look at the bigger picture.

How long do you plan to stay? What monthly payment feels comfortable? How much do you have saved? And does buying support your long-term financial goals?

The goal isn't to convince you that renting is bad. It's to help you understand when owning might make more sense. 🤝
