Our first senior highlight goes to Kyndall Ostreim, graduating from Loveland High School! 🥳

Q: What was your favorite part of high school?

A: The relationships that I got to build with people! Having the ability to see my friends everyday and build relationships with my teachers was really special for me. They grew more as I got older because I was in the IB [International Baccalaureate] program, which made for a graduating class of twelve. We were all in the same classes and ended up becoming really close friends.

Q: Why did you choose the University of Florida in Tampa?

A: All the colleges I looked at had to accept IB credits, had to be by the ocean, offer marine biology, a study abroad program, Spanish, international business, and biology, and this one did. I wanted to make sure the college I picked had options so if I decided I didn’t want to do biology or international business I could do something else I was passionate about.

Q: Tell me more about your passion for science and biology.

A: It doesn’t really come naturally to me so I definitely have to work hard at it.The outcome is so rewarding for me, to learn about the world we live in and to find solutions to problems that not everyone can see.

Q: What motivated you to become involved in volunteer organizations such as GiveNext and the Alliance for Su***de Youth Council in high school?

A: Being involved in GiveNext was super cool because it showed me all of these nonprofits in my community that I had no idea that existed, and by learning about all those nonprofits you learn about all the problems in the community that people work so hard to fix. Being a part of a community you have to get involved in those things. That’s something that is important to me, and I think it’s something that always will be. (📸 by , 🖊 by )
