Life insurance is often misunderstood.

Most people think it’s about death.

But the truth is—it’s about life.

It’s about making sure the people you love are protected if something unexpected happens. It’s about ensuring your family can stay in their home, keep their stability, and have the financial support they need during a difficult time.
Life insurance is not just a policy.

It’s a plan of protection.
It’s peace of mind.
And most of all, it’s an act of love and responsibility.

When you plan ahead, you’re not just thinking about yourself—you’re thinking about the people who matter most.

Because the greatest legacy we can leave is knowing our loved ones will be protected.

If you’ve never reviewed your life insurance—or if you’ve wondered whether you have the right protection—this is the perfect time to start the conversation 😉

5 Things You Can Do Now to Reduce Probate Problems Later

02/03/2026

Whether you’re thinking about buying, building, or renting, here are three important things to know before relocating to Fort Lauderdale, FL:
1️⃣ Single-Family Home Prices
The average single-family home in Fort Lauderdale currently starting price ranges between $600,000 – $675,000, depending on location, size, and condition.
Luxury and newer construction single-family homes typically start around $600,000+.
2️⃣ Beach & Waterfront New Construction
If beach living or waterfront property is on your vision board, new construction near the beach generally starts between $1.2M – $2M+, with pricing influenced by water access, views, and amenities.
3️⃣ Rental Market Near the Beach
For renters, a 2-bedroom / 2-bath apartment near the beach starts around $2,300+ per month, and can go higher depending on proximity to the ocean, building amenities, and parking.
Fort Lauderdale offers incredible lifestyle options — from walkable beach communities to waterfront neighborhoods and vibrant urban living — but knowing the numbers before you move makes all the difference.

I asked AI for help on the "Why" of why this building in Fort Lauderdale FL may have been designed like this. I love the response. Check it out:
Here’s what I can tell from the image — and it’s
What the design suggests

The buildings have a very distinctive, almost Brutalist-meets-tropical architectural style. Key features:

Angular, folded concrete roofs – These slanted geometric rooflines are not typical for residential housing. They look more like architectural statement pieces from the 1960s–1980s.

Concrete construction – Heavy concrete walls and unusual roof shapes often indicate:

Heat reduction

Protection from hurricanes

Low-maintenance structures

✔️ Possibly a municipal or educational structure from the 70s–80s

South Florida has a known history of experimental modernist architecture (including “tropical brutalism”) during this period. Many small city facilities — planning offices, community centers, utility buildings — used similar designs.

✔️Some possible reasons a designer would chose these unusual roof forms:

Architectural flair – In mid-20th-century Florida, architects often created expressive sculptural forms.

Sun control – The angled “lean-to” façades help reduce heat gain by shielding windows from direct sunlight.

Hurricane considerations – Sloped concrete forms perform well in high winds.

Drainage & durability – The flat-to-sloped roofs help guide water and reduce pooling.

My best guess:

A small 1970s–1980s office complex built by an architect who favored expressive geometric concrete form.
