5 Things You Need to Know About Fort Myers Before Moving Here ↓
1: The summers are hot. The reality: June – September gets hot and humid. Afternoon thunderstorms are daily. But here’s what people don’t tell you… by 7pm the air clears, the temp drops, and you’re sitting outside with a cold drink watching the most insane sunset you’ve ever seen. You adapt in 3 months. Then you don’t ever want to leave. 🍹🌅✨
2: You’re closer to the water than you think. Fort Myers isn’t just near the Gulf, it’s surrounded by canals, rivers, and waterways. Cape Coral alone has over 400 miles of navigable canals, more than Venice, Italy. You don’t need to live ON the water to be 10 minutes from it. 🐬⛵️🌊
3: The cost of living here might shock you (in a good way). Compared to Northeast and West Coast markets, SWFL still offers incredible value. No state income tax. No state income tax. (Worth saying twice.) Homes with pools, 3 beds, and waterfront access in ranges that would get you a condo with no parking in most major cities. 🏠🌴🌺
4: The community is built differently. Fort Myers has one of the fastest-growing young professional populations in Florida. Booming restaurant scene, First Friday events, River District walkability, new development coming in every month. It’s evolved. 🌆🍴🍸
5: Once people visit, they usually don’t go back. Clients fly down for a weekend to “just look around” and call me on Monday from their hotel asking about offer timelines. There’s something about SWFL that hits different when you actually stand in it. The light is different. The energy is different. You feel it. 🐚☀️🩵
People in the Midwest and Northeast who are done.. done with the winters, done with the gray skies, done with asking themselves “is this really it?”
Fort Myers might be your answer. 🥰
