You would think the WNBA would be supportive of Sophie Cunningham, who attracts a lot of people to the game, and alongside Caitlin Clark, they make quite a dynamic team.
But recently, the co-owner of the Seattle Storm created a firestorm when she cursed two young girls who had come to support Sophie Cunningham
The WNBA team co-owner is Seattle Storm minority co-owner Celeste Keaton, who was suspended for five home games and fined by the league after an altercation with two teenage fans.
Incident Overview
The Event: During an Indiana Fever and Seattle Storm game, Keaton approached two teenage girls sitting courtside.
The young fans wore shirts and held signs thanking Fever guard Sophie Cunningham for her public stance on restricting transgender athletes in women's sports.

Keaton allegedly used profanity and called the teenagers "f****** insane" during the heated exchange.
League and Team Response: WNBA Discipline: The league handed Keaton a five-game arena suspension and an undisclosed fine.

It seems some in the WNBA are working overtime trying to find anything they can on Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark. They don’t like them on the court or off; no doubt, we hate the support they’re getting from so many fans, even when it’s making everyone richer in the WNBA.
