Fountain Hills is excited to be the home of the International Dark Sky Discovery Center. The facility will be on the Town campus, across from the Community Center, River of Time Museum & Discovery Center, and the Maricopa County Library.

The construction of the Center is set to commence this summer, with the fencing for the project being erected in the next few weeks. During this period, the west side of the Town Complex parking lot will be temporarily unavailable due to the staging of construction equipment and underground utility work.

The Fountain Hills Library has set up a particular webpage to help residents with their library needs during construction. Some of the vital information from the library are:

- The parking lot in front of the museum & library will be closed for the project's duration.
- Library parking will be available from the Community Center north lot.
- Curbside Pickup service is now available in the parking lot between the library and community center, Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon only.
- One outdoor Book Drop is now available from the parking lot between the library & community center.
