Franklin Car and Craft Show is this Saturday! Below is some information about the Cruise In Friday night and car show on Saturday!

A Franklin tradition kicks off this Friday with cars, trucks and motorcycles on display downtown for the 62nd annual Franklin Car and Craft Show sponsored by Hunt Auto Group.

The third weekend in September has been a long-standing celebration of automobiles and area arts and crafts.

The event begins Friday at 5 p.m. with the annual Cruise-In around the Franklin courthouse. Cars can enter on College Street between the Simpson County History Center and Old Jail. Cars are asked to cruise-in between 5-6:30 p.m and the event will end at 9 p.m Food trucks and a live band will be part of the festivities presented by Franklin-Simpson Renaissance.

The 62nd annual Franklin Car and Craft Show will begin Saturday morning. There will be 40 arts and crafts vendors on hand, food trucks and cars, trucks and motorcycles. Craft and food vendors are asked to arrive between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Vehicles for the show will begin parking at 8 a.m. and are asked to enter the event on College Street between the Simpson County History Center and Old Jail. Entry fee for vehicles is $20 and the first 200 vehicles will receive a t-shirt.

The Franklin-Simpson High School Cheerleaders will host a fundraising pancake breakfast at the First United Methodist Church from 7 a.m until 10 a.m.

“We are looking forward to seeing everyone downtown this weekend.” said Amy Ellis, Simpson County Tourism Commission Executive Director. “The car show is a tradition that feels more like a homecoming for the community. We welcome visitors who come in town for the event, but it is always good to see our friends and neighbors too. Special thanks to Hunt Auto Group for sponsoring the event again this year. It would not be possible to host this event without them.”

The 2025 Franklin Car And Craft Show t-shirts were designed by car enthusiast Sabastian Poole and feature an orange 1968 Firebird owned by Doug Spencer, a blue jeep owned by Chris Conn and a white 1956 Chevy owned by Todd Brannon. This year the shirts have a little extra “horse power” and feature local celebrity Melvin the horse sculpture created by the welding students at the Franklin-Simpson High School.

Trophies will be awarded to the Top 40 Show Favorites, an overall Top 5, Top 5 Motorcycles and the traditional eight special awards chosen by the show sponsors and community leaders. Awards will be given out around 2 p.m.

Downtown streets will be closed for the event and signs will be posted. Parking around the event is free. Streets will reopen at 4 p.m.
