Rowan in Frederick County

Earlier this summer, Rowan was proud to support construction of the Mountain City Elks Club's new concession stand, which will help nonprofits and organizations from across Frederick County raise funds and support the causes that matter to our neighbors.

We loved participating in the annual parade are excited to see the lasting impact this space will have.

We are thrilled to welcome Rowan as a Championship Level Sponsor of our two signature events, Cocktails & Carbs 2026 and Walk a Mile in Their Shoes 2026!

A BIG shout-out to Rowan for stepping up and helping us make these events a success! Your generosity helps Heartly House continue its important work in our community.

A data center may look like just a building, but bringing it to life takes an entire network of people and expertise.

Engineers. Electricians. Project managers. Skilled tradespeople. Contractors. Suppliers. Safety professionals. And many others working together across every stage of development.

That work reaches well beyond the boundaries of a project site and represents an important part of the broader impact of digital infrastructure.

Take a closer look at some of the people and expertise it takes to turn plans into progress. →

How can data center projects actually strengthen and contribute to the communities in which they’re built?

Rowan believes that workforce development is one of the strongest long-term measures of community impact.

Read more in our latest blog post.

These efforts reflect the belief that responsible development should create real, lasting value, not only through the facilities themselves, but by helping local residents develop the skills needed to participate in a rapidly evolving economy.

Rowan continues to invest in Frederick County.

Today, we're proud to take the next step within the former Eastalco industrial campus — land that was long ago designated for industrial redevelopment and job creation — and announce two limited expansions of our existing Bauxite campus. These proposals are not within the expanded Critical Digital Infrastructure Overlay and are much smaller in size than our existing projects.

These proposed developments would add just over 100 acres to Rowan's existing footprint and represent a continued investment in a community we are proud to call home. If approved, the additional buildings would bring approximately $290M in new investment and support at least 60 full-time jobs.

The additional buildings are located on industrial property governed by an existing land use framework. They remain subject to all applicable permitting and regulatory review requirements.

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the victims, their families, the first responders, and all those whose courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Communities grow stronger when organizations work together.

That's why we're proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County and support their mission of helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing.

We're grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside organizations making a meaningful difference throughout Frederick County.

Because investing in communities means investing in people.
