MARKET MONDAY: HURRICANE PAUSE 🌴

This week, we're pressing pause on our usual Market Monday numbers.

After the storm, there's a lot more to focus on than inquiries, showings, and available homes.

Our community is cleaning up, assessing damage, and working toward getting back to normal.

Right now, our focus is on our tenants, the homes we manage, and the community we call home.

We'll get back to sharing our regular rental market updates as things settle down. In the meantime, we're wishing everyone a safe cleanup and a smooth recovery.

If you're out cleaning up, please be careful around downed power lines, debris, and storm-damaged structures.

🚨 **HURRICANE PREPARATION: A MESSAGE FOR OUR TENANTS** 🌴

If a storm is headed our way, now is the time to prepare — **before the weather gets bad.**

Here’s your hurricane-prep checklist:

# # # 🏡 YOUR HOME
• Bring in or secure outdoor furniture, decorations, grills, trash cans, and anything else that could become airborne.
• Close and lock all windows and doors.
• Check that your gutters, drains, and exterior areas are clear of debris.
• Know where your home’s water shutoff is located.
• Move valuable belongings and important documents to a safe, elevated location if flooding is a concern.
• If you have a garage, make sure the door is secured.

# # # 💧 WATER & SUPPLIES
• Stock **at least 3–7 days of water** for your household.
• Have non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, and other essentials ready.
• Don't forget supplies for pets!

# # # ⚡ POWER & APPLIANCES
• Charge phones, portable batteries, and other essential devices.
• Unplug non-essential electronics if severe weather approaches.
• Have flashlights ready — **not candles** if possible.

# # # 🚗 MAKE A PLAN
• Know where you will go if you need to evacuate.
• Know your evacuation route and have important documents accessible.
• If an evacuation order is issued, **follow local emergency guidance and leave early.**

# # # 📱 STAY INFORMED
Keep an eye on updates from **Walton County Emergency Management, the National Weather Service, and other trusted local sources.**

And most importantly: **your safety comes first.**

If you notice storm-related damage or an issue at your home, let us know as soon as it is safe to do so. Please **do not put yourself in danger to check or photograph damage.**
