Here’s what we saw in the rental market this week:

7 showings.
5 homes available.
0 leases signed — yet.

We’re seeing plenty of people looking and touring, but renters are taking their time before making a decision. With more options available, renters have the opportunity to be selective, and that means pricing, presentation, and overall value matter.

One week doesn’t tell the whole story, but these numbers give us a good snapshot of what we’re seeing right now.

Tenant Tip Tuesday 🐾

Okay, we’re talking about something nobody really wants to talk about… 💩😂

If you have a dog, picking up the yard at least once a week is a small chore that makes a BIG difference.

It keeps your yard cleaner, helps prevent odors and flies, protects your grass, and makes your home a much nicer place to live — for you, your neighbors, and whoever comes after you.

And if you’re renting? Taking care of the yard is part of taking care of the home.

Okay… this week was a little busier than usual. 😂

Here’s what happened:

🔑 3 available homes
📝 3 leases signed

Three leases in one week is definitely above our normal pace for this time of year, but it’s a pretty good snapshot of what we’ve been seeing lately: the right homes are still getting attention, and renters are still making moves.

We’ll keep watching the numbers and sharing what we’re seeing in Freeport and the surrounding area — because the rental market is always changing.

Tenant Tip Tuesday 🏡

Florida summer = your AC is WORKING. 😅 And one of the easiest things you can do to help it keep up is change your air filter regularly.

A good rule of thumb is every 1–3 months, depending on your home, pets, allergies, and the type of filter you use.

A clean filter can help with:
🌬️ Better airflow
❄️ HVAC efficiency
💰 Avoiding unnecessary strain and repairs

And if you’re not sure what filter your home needs, check your lease or reach out to your property manager.

A $10 filter is a whole lot cheaper than a preventable HVAC headache. 😉

Summer brought plenty of movement, but once school starts, many families are settled in and the pace naturally slows down a bit.

That doesn’t mean things have stopped moving! 👀

So while the market may be taking a little breath after a busy summer, there are still renters looking and homes moving.
