We haven’t posted in a while because we have been busy. The winter months have kept us busy with indoor work doing lots of tile jobs, many days looking at and talking with clients about new upcoming projects, and continuing our education in the concrete industry. We just added 6 large projects to our summer calendar yesterday alone.
If you have an upcoming project or even a project you have been thinking about give us a call so we can chat about what you would like. The calendar is filling much faster than we anticipated this season.
I did have to share an unexpected card that I received in the mail yesterday. Our customers are always happy and appreciative of a job well done but sometimes the thanks they give goes above and beyond. The price is always fair and the quality of work is top notch.
We can’t wait to get back outside and let the creative juices flow designing exceptional decorative concrete projects for you all.
It’s so fun being a leader in the decorative concrete industry in our area and we take our continuing education in the field seriously in the off season.

It’s been an incredibly busy day of plowing, salting, and shoveling from one side of the county to the other for us.
Please make sure to thank your state, borough, and local drivers who have work incredibly long hours trying to keep the roads, parking lots, and driveways clear and safe. There is still more to clear so bear with everyone as they do their best to get everything cleared for you.
Also. Thank you to all of our First Responders who have been out in this storm with frigid temps helping to keep you all safe while battling those fires and vehicle accidents.

This project was a large one for the Jenner Rod and Gun club. The old concrete was in pretty bad shape. We demolished and removed all of the old concrete. We then excavated and placed new French drains and regular drains. We removed the old roof posts and installed new post all around. We then excavated a new patio to connect to all the new concrete that was replaced.

The rain was NOT fun to work with almost daily especially since the creek runs right near it. Our job site was flooded more than once. It took a few days longet than expcted but we persevered and it turned very nice.

This was our first of many pool decks that we poured this season. This one is massive and turned out amazing. We can’t wait to go back and start on their pool/guest house where we will be building the foundation and providing all of the interior and exterior concrete work.

Thanks to this great couple who contacted us all the way from Florida. They are finishing up the new construction on this home here is Somerset. They told us they had multiple local people recommend us and we couldn’t be more thankful for the recommendations. There is no better compliment for a business who prides themselves on a job well done and great service.

We did a beautiful project using the Field Stone stamp for this customer. We did their front porch and then added a patio under their back deck as well as adding more concrete around their pool where they had existing stamped concrete. We used some beautiful antiquing to get the new and old concrete to match nicely. We cleaned and treated the old stamped concrete around the pool before applying custom coloring and antiquing to both the old and new for a beautiful end result.

We recently finished another beautiful project at St. Peter’s Church. We tore out all the old pavers and got the ground to a good base. We placed the custom made concrete crossed first and then poured and stamped the concrete around the crosses.

Hello everyone.
We wanted to jump on here and say Hi, it’s been a while since we have posted. It’s been a very busy spring but if this rain would just slow it would be great! Over the next few days we will be posting pictures of recent projects but before we do that we wanted to let our customers and potential future customers know about some things we were doing in the slower season.

Continuing education is very important to us. Industry trends, techniques, and equipment change in the concrete world just like any other industry and we always want to keep on top of it all. Over the winter we attended many trainings to better serve our clients and their projects.

📍We are now a certified installer for Nudura ICF (insulated concrete forms) walls. ICF walls are a phenomenal choice in place of traditional block foundations. When your foundation is done in just a few days your walls will be solid concrete with no joints for water to leak in, they will be fully insulated, and ready to hang drywall with no need to install wood strips first.

📍We took additional trainings in Stamped Concrete, which is our specialty, but still learned some new techniques and learned about some new products on the market to make your project even more beautiful.

Now adding Epoxy floor coatings to our product offerings. If you have a garage floor, basement floor, or any concrete floor that you would like to revitalize give us a call to talk about the beautiful versatility of Epoxy coatings.

📍We also took more training from the Schluter company. Schluter Systems in the leading company in waterproofing products for your home. McKelvey Masonry & Concrete works with a lot of homeowners in the colder months installing tile bathrooms, kitchens, and more. We will not install tile on a bathroom floor without using Schluter’s waterproofing products. Also, if your Schluter waterproofing system was installed by a certified installer they will 100% back their product. If you find a leak in their products and their products were installed by a certified installer they will pay 100% for the renovation.

A small sidewalk project, we do both large and small projects. We love the challenge of a continuous 50+ yard continuous pour but also know that our customers need smaller projects done as well.
