💰 One kick just turned into a life changing $1.2 million moment in Texas. During ESPN’s College GameDay in Austin ahead of the Texas Longhorns’ matchup with Ohio State, a student named Connor stepped up for Pat McAfee’s “Kicking is Easy” contest with an enormous amount of money on the line. His first attempt, worth $1 million, missed, but he was given another chance, and the stakes somehow got even bigger. McAfee added another $100,000 each tied to Matthew McConaughey and Kirk Herbstreit, bringing the total prize to a College GameDay record $1.2 million. With McConaughey watching and the crowd looking on, Connor took off his shoe, attempted the kick barefoot and sent it through the uprights. The moment became even more remarkable because Connor had already pledged to donate half of his winnings to a charity in Indianapolis, near where he grew up. The contest has become one of College GameDay’s most unpredictable traditions, but between the record breaking prize, a barefoot kick and a massive charitable pledge, this one may be difficult to top.
