You can admire the building’s beauty and learn some local lore at a picnic party on its lawn hosted by the Gastonia Architecture and History Appreciation Society this Saturday!

Happy Memorial Day weekend, Gaston County!

Pictured on this week’s list is local musician Caleb Davis, who was set to headline the Rock the House Concert at Caromont Park on Saturday, but due to the weather forecast that event has been postponed.

The concert was being presented by Gaston Homegrown and Franklin Blvd Media, who I highly respect for their dedication to local culture and love.

No matter how the weather pans out, have fun, be safe, and remember the reason for the long weekend 🇺🇸

It’s been a big week in my family with my birthday (big 40!), my mom’s birthday, Mother’s Day, and my anniversary all within days of each other. It feels like a hazy dreamy amazing blur, but I pulled it together enough to get the list out this week!

One of Gaston County’s greatest assets is our physical environment, the mountains and river that provide choice outdoor recreation and natural beauty to our citizens. This weekend there are tons of opportunities to celebrate our natural resources.
