With my crazy daytime schedule, sometimes I like to take on furniture restoration projects on cool Peoria nights... This is also the time I take out to clean my man van. Sweating in the garage with the smell of freshly stained wood isn’t a bad way to end the day. What do you think? This cabinet didn’t have the shelves when I received it. It’s now going back to the owner with brand new custom shelves and I’ll put the backing on in the morning, when it all dries.

It's no secret... we are a family of creatives! I love pouring my creativity into finding solutions to hands-on problems. My background is in the film & television industry as a behind-the-scenes grip. I also enjoy writing in my spare time... My wife is a voiceover artist and likes to create with me. Cool hack for hot, old cars (no pun intended)::

No secret about me... I love researching DIY videos and finding effective ways to get tasks done on a budget. My wife inherited my father-in-law’s car when he passed away. She’s always loved that car in every state it was driven (PA, FL and every state in between). It is a black CRV with NO TINT on the windows and no air in the back. No big deal in most states of the union.

THIS... is Arizona 🔥 🌵 🔥 She’s been asking me for a Noogle ($42+ on Amazon), but I knew there had to be a more economical way to cool the back of the car. I mean... it’s a hose that directs air! So... I found a hack and built her this. It works GREAT! For only... $8. 👍🏼

When my 3 year old daughter asks me what I do for work, I tell her I do projects. She also does projects in school. So, she thinks we basically do the same thing! And in a way, she’s right. Only ~slightly~ different, but in our own ways we are both always learning, growing and enjoying what we do.

This week, I installed some artificial grass, fixed a dishwasher and most importantly, repaired my wife’s voiceover booth to support her big, beautiful dreams (and to curb the panic of a collapsed panel!)

But, can you install a SAFE, Jason? Why, yes I can. A local business needed a hole cut into drywall and a deposit box installed that drops down into a safe in the next room. There was a bit of measuring, a bit of cutting and a bit of finagling. I had to find some hardware pieces to make it all play nice together. The end result came out looking pretty sweet, right? And now their valuables are secure and accessible only to the right people.
