A quiet corner of the West Valley many people don’t know about.
Historic charm.
Palm-lined streets.
Golf and desert sunsets.
Life around The Wigwam in Litchfield Park feels a little slower and that’s exactly why so many people love living here.
One of the most charming areas in the West Valley continues to evolve — and it’s happening right around The Wigwam in the heart of Litchfield Park.
For decades, this community has been known for its historic charm, palm-lined streets, golf courses, and the timeless feel surrounding The Wigwam resort. But now, a new chapter is beginning.
Just minutes from the resort, the city is developing Litchfield Square, a walkable mixed-use district designed to bring restaurants, boutiques, offices, and gathering spaces into the center of town. The project spans about 26 acres and is planned to include tens of thousands of square feet of new shops, dining, and community spaces.
The vision is to create a village-style destination where residents and visitors can walk between cafés, restaurants, local businesses, and community events. Future phases could eventually add over 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial space to the area.
Other community investments are also underway nearby, including a new public library expected to open around 2026, bringing expanded programming and gathering spaces to residents.
For many buyers relocating to the West Valley, this combination is part of what makes Litchfield Park so special:
Historic Arizona charm
Walkable community spaces
Resort lifestyle at The Wigwam
New restaurants and local shops on the way
It’s a rare balance — a community that still feels established and peaceful while thoughtfully growing around it.
Sometimes the most exciting places in the Valley aren’t the biggest cities — they’re the small historic communities quietly becoming something even better.
