What 4-H Builds in Grand County!
This year, 4-H became especially personal for our family as Ebby completed her first year with Grand Animals.
Through months of caring for her market hog, turkeys and chickens, she learned lessons that reach far beyond the show ring: responsibility, patience, resilience and the value of showing up every day. Watching her earn first place in her market swine class, Junior Reserve Champion in swine showmanship and the opportunity to participate in Round Robin was something we will never forget.
But her experience represents just one of the many young people who dedicated countless hours to their projects for the 2026 Middle Park Fair and Rodeo.
The Junior Livestock Sale is where that hard work meets the extraordinary generosity of our community. This year, buyers from Grand and Summit counties and beyond contributed $482,015 in net bids to support local 4-H and FFA members. We look forward to seeing the official 2026 total and celebrating another remarkable year of community support.
To every buyer, volunteer, leader, mentor and family who invested their time and resources into these young people: thank you. Your support helps preserve Grand County’s agricultural heritage while building capable, confident leaders for its future.
