EDA Director

The City of Granite Falls, MN (population 2,737) is seeking a collaborative and strategic thinking professional to serve as Director of its Economic Development Authority (EDA). The Director is responsible for leading the City’s economic, community, and housing development activities. The Director reports to a 7-member EDA board and manages the EDA budget. In addition, the EDA also is the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA).

A Bachelor’s degree in city planning, real estate development, finance, marketing, or a related field is desired. An understanding of economic development and business retention tools, including financing options, is preferred.

Salary range is $63,336 - $82,347/year depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits are also included.

Our next lunch and learn is coming up on July 16th from 12:00 to 12:45pm and features Montevideo native, Josh Hansen-Connell of Small Town Vibes. Josh will share how he partners with employers and community organizations to introduce college students to the many career opportunities and rural lifestyle of Greater Minnesota. He’ll also share information about creating an inclusive workplace culture as well as trends related to Gen Z and Millennials in the work force. In addition to the presentation, there will be time at the end for Q&A and for you to share what other topics you’d like to hear more about at future webinars.
