BIG changes to the appraisal process are coming this year!
One of my favorite things about this business is realizing that the relationships you build become resources for your clients. I started this early on, and didn’t realize the impact it would have on my success and my clients experience.
Yesterday, I walked into an educational class with one of my favorite appraisers, Chris White, leading the session, Dave Adams with ProTech Inspections helping bring it together, and sitting next to me was my partner agent, my preferred lender, and one of my preferred attorneys for the area.
That’s a pretty cool feeling. The team I’ve surrounded myself with, all after the same goal yesterday. To learn. To be prepared. For our clients!
My business has been built on two things: the relationships I’ve created and the time I invest in continuing to learn so I’m always ready for the curveballs of real estate.
We spent the day learning about BIG changes coming to the appraisal process. Changes that will, without a doubt impact what appraisers need, how quickly appraisals are completed, and potentially even closing timelines.
And here’s the thing: these changes may catch some agents off guard. When that happens, I believe it will create delays, surprises, and in some cases, become a deal killer if your agent/lender aren’t ready.
Your Realtor’s relationships aren’t just about who they know. They’re about the professionals they can lean on when it matters most.
