We’re excited to welcome Greenville as a Main Street Alabama Network Community. Known as “The Camellia City,” 🌸 Greenville has celebrated camellias for generations, even inspiring the camellia to become Alabama’s official state flower in 1959. Its downtown features late-19th and early-20th-century architecture, including landmark buildings like the copper-domed 1903 courthouse. As a Network community, Greenville will work with Main Street Alabama to form partnerships and begin conversations about preserving and improving its historic district. We look forward to supporting Greenville as it builds a stronger future for its downtown.

Interested communities may apply in February or August by completing a brief online application at mainstreetalabama.org/getting-started/the-network/.
