How often do you actually get to sit in the same room with someone asking to represent you in Congress…and simply TALK? 👋🗳️
This month, we’re excited to welcome Courtney McClain as a special guest at GVL Connect.
Courtney is running to represent South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District and has built her campaign around a simple idea: Elevate the Upstate for all of us, not just a few. 💪
Come meet her. Ask questions. Hear what she cares about. Tell her what YOU care about.
💜 And because GVL Connect is proudly nonpartisan, our invitation is open to ALL local leaders and candidates from any party.
👇 If you could ask someone running for Congress ONE question face-to-face, what would it be?
Voting shouldn’t require a political science degree. 🗳️
This month we’re also highlighting the League of Women Voters of Greenville County. League of Women Voters GVL, SC
The League is NONPARTISAN. They don’t endorse or oppose candidates or political parties.
Instead, they work to help all people become informed voters, understand elections, access reliable voter information, and protect the freedom to vote.
And with a major election approaching this November, there is a LOT happening.😵💫
Come hear directly from the League about what they’re doing in Greenville this year, what voters need to know, and how YOU can get involved.
What if we spent less time talking ABOUT each other…and more time actually talking TO each other? 💬
That is basically the entire reason GVL Connect exists.
Different ages.
Different careers.
Different backgrounds.
Different politics.
Different experiences.
Same city. Same community. Same table. 💚
You don’t have to agree with everyone in the room. You just have to be willing to show up curious.
You are absolutely allowed to disagree at GVL Connect. Actually…we expect it. 😉👏
The rule is simply that we stay curious about WHY someone sees the world differently.
Ask questions.
Listen.
Push back thoughtfully.
Tell your own story.
Change your mind.
Or don’t.
The point isn’t agreement.
The point is remembering that people are more complicated than the labels we put on them.
When was the last time a one on one conversation genuinely changed the w
