❄️ WINTER STORM WARNING ❄️ EXTREME COLD WATCH ❄️ will see 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow. It will be a light, powdery snow. With high winds, expect "white out" conditions with very low visibility. This is our area's largest snow fall prediction since 2014.

"We need you to stay home and off the roads during this storm," said Greenville Police Department Chief Howie Thompson. "During the last winter event, many of you heeded the warnings and we saw fewer wrecks than usual—but our officers and firefighters still responded to too many crashes. When cars are out on icy streets, plows can’t clear effectively, first responders are exposed on slick roadways, and precious minutes are lost getting to true emergencies. Please help us keep everyone safe by staying in.”

An extreme cold watch takes effect at 7pm Saturday with dangerously cold wind chills as low as ten degrees below zero. Peak wind gusts are expected 25-35 mph.
