🎮 Geaux South Realty is now a proud sponsor of Springfield Middle School’s EA Sports Team!! 🎮
Last year, after talking with the administration at Springfield Middle, I learned they were wanting to start up an EA Sports/“video game” team for the students. The problem, like with so many programs at smaller schools, was funding.
PLUS… I had absolutely NO IDEA how expensive these game consoles have gotten! 😂
So I told the principal that Geaux South Realty would be more than happy to donate the gaming systems needed to help get this team up and running.
I’ve always been a strong believer that if you support your community, your community will support you. But this one means a little more than just putting our name on something.
Not every kid plays football. Not every kid makes the basketball or baseball team. Some kids don’t have any interest in traditional sports at all. Some just haven’t found that place where they feel like they fit in yet.
And that’s OK.
My hope is that this program gives some of those kids a team to be part of, something to compete in, and a place where they belong. There should be opportunities for ALL of our kids to get involved and represent their school. 💪🎮
When I dropped the systems off last week, I was told they already had upwards of 22 students on the team!! So apparently they’re off to a GREAT start…
…and apparently I’m back out shopping for controllers. 😂😂
