Plant 2026 is in full swing here in NE Barry County, and we're burning up daylight trying to get some last minute wet holes dried up for the local farmers. Thanks for investing in our future!

"Can you fix our tile, I think it's plugged." Sure, where is it. 4' deep under 8' of water. 🤿 This is a farm field, not a pond, puddle, lake, etc! This pump is 17600gph. The surface area remaining is 36000 sq ft. Per inch of depth, there is .62 gallons per sq ft. That means, at 36000 sq ft, an inch depth is approximately 22320 gallons! No wonder why it seems so slow, less than an inch an hour. I did get the base tile to flow, so that should help.

Kicking off the spring with a good little project. Removing multiple walnut trees and stumps, a windmill, excavated the foundation for the new garage and addition, prep for concrete floors, backfill and grade the top dirt, and install the new driveway.

We haven't done forestry mulching in a couple years, it takes the right clientele to see the value in the expense. It is HARD on the machinery, but there really isn't any comparison with the one step results that mulching provides. Inaccessible areas and invasive species are quickly reversed.

Local builder referred us to an out of town customer who needed site prep work done for the new pole barn. A couple weeks ago we removed the stumps and organic top soil materials, brought in sand, leveled and roller compacted. We know why the area is called Rockford!

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year! As you may have noticed, we took a lengthy break from social media on our business page. The amount of time it takes was part of the reason. Another, big, part of it was the constant negativity and criticism. Someone, usually without a clue or the ability, always waiting in the wings with the "helpful" suggestions. "Why did you do it that way? Why didn't you do it this way? Why does it cost so much? I could do it cheaper myself?" Etc etc. Anyone that knows us (me), knows that I value more the job that I leave vs the money that I take. However, I'm a firm believer that business posts should remain professional. Not focusing on our struggles and how hard we have it, concentrating on how much of a victim we are and how anyone (everyone) else has it easier or better. We also did a large volume of commercial work with contractors that preferred no social media representation. In light of all the above mentioned (not necessarily streamlined or clearly portrayed,) we took a break. Was it nice? Yeah, it was. But, something that I realized and have been told, when we share our accomplishments, it isn't intended for show off or advertising. Rather, it's a celebration of progress, for ourselves AND our clients. People like pride, as they should. All that being said, THANK YOU to ALL of our 2023 clients. WE APPRECIATE YOU. Yes, we ARE still open, and going forward a day at a time. If you enjoy following along in our adventures and hopefully our success, let us know!
P.S. Sweet gift provided to all clients! Watch for a spin off page featuring our home-made maple syrup products!

I really enjoy helping land owners make side by side, access, and clear vision trails. Doesn't take real long to give a nice, passable trail without stump holes and mucking things up. Bonus find dead head hiding in a shrub base.

The time passing seems to be on warp speed! How is it post-Christmas already??!! Granite like clay with 12"s of frost yesterday necessitated a trip to the dentist this morning for new teeth on our KX057. Bring it on Jack Frost!
