🆘🚨 FELLOW HAWKINS/HLR SMALL BUSINESSES AND FOLLOWERS, this 👇🏼 right here is the exact reason this page was created for our small town… to support our local small businesses in an effort to keep doors open, income flowing, and Hawkins thriving.
💔 We’re losing another small business, y’all. This is not ok!
It’s been said that “a rising tide lifts all ships”. The shared videos of neighbor businesses promoting each other has been amazing to watch. We could use more of them though, shared way beyond the Hawkins borders.
Be a tide, y’all… continue to help lift each other up. We can get through this, it’s just going to take everyone working together instead of competing against each other.
👇🏼 Hale’s Kitchen is closing up shop. How are we going to pull together to prevent another small business door from closing?
“Hey y’all! I wanted yall to be the first to know that Hale’s Kitchen ETX will be closing. This Thursday will be our last day.
I know to a lot of people I was a bad guy when I started conversations about the food trucks. I don’t regret the conversations and stand by what I said. Since food trucks have been invited to Ace, I have watched our lunch sales go from 600 a day to less than 200. Nothing has changed with our food quality, if anything I offered more variety and added menu items. It truly makes me sad because we have served delicious home cooked food and 1/2 lb burgers, pork chops and tenders battered and fried fresh- all inside a gas station. 🩷 Our food is as good as anyone else’s. Food trucks have an upper hand because when business is slow they can pick up and move to another town, a cycle they continue and one we can’t. We are left with, what do I do to change things up to appeal to folks to come back. Unfortunately, I have exhausted this option.
Thanks so much to our regulars, I’m in tears as I write this. We love you and thank you for the support.
Love Dana”
