I am one of five candidates running for an open director position on the Pike/Wayne Association of Realtors (PWAR) Board of Directors. Voting will open tomorrow, Monday, December 11, 2023 and will close the next day, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. This is an important election as all elections are important.
At the recent PWAR Annual Membership meeting I spoke about the Datashare Conversion and the utmost frustration that I had, as well as many other agents have had with this conversion. I am usually the level headed, positive person but this has really put me over the top! I volunteered for the Task Force Committee and we are trying to make corrections to the new database.
I also spoke up at that meeting that we needed better transparency coming from our Board of Directors. We need to know who are our Board of Directors? Who are our Committee Members? What do our Financial Statements look like? Where does our dues money go? This information should be made available to all of the membership on the FlexMLS intranet.
