Could it be that roadrunners or maybe Indian duck runners are living at Whispering Gales!? We do have ducks that hang out on the pond. I'm not a birdie but I've never heard of a rock nest. Maybe it's some other kind of bird. Let me know if you have thoughts on this.

Have you been by Whispering Gales Estates recently? The electric poles are up, a couple of lots have been sold, and their culverts have been installed. The drainage area is full and looks like a pond, but don't go swimming because it is super deep, and don't go fishing because there are no fish in it. We planted some flowers at the end of summer, and they are coming up; I look forward to seeing them next year. What a relaxing place to live.

Thankful for the abundance of rainfall which had a profoundly positive impact on our volunteer rye, which has grown at an incredible rate, enabling us to complete the baling process. Moreover, the roads have been impeccably maintained, courtesy of the exceptional service provided by Flatlander Dirt Works. Looking ahead, our attention will shift to the installation of electric poles and homes, and we extend an invitation to interested individuals to contact us to explore the possibility of acquiring a lot for their ideal home at 785-432-1037.

During the planning phase of the development, a pond was included in the design to attract wildlife and provide an additional measure of fire safety. With the recent rain, we have noticed footprints in the area and verified that the culverts are successfully managing water flow.

The road construction and lot preparation phases have been completed by Flatlander Dirtworks. We are currently waiting for sufficient rainfall to plant grass. Upcoming developments include the installation of utility poles by Western Electric. Our team has appreciated working with Driggs, Karst, Flatlander, and Western Electric.

Flatlander Dirt is getting a lot done! If the rain misses us they maybe done building roads and moving dirt in a couple weeks. The question now is, if there will be a pond area?

The dirt work has been put on hold after yesterday's spring snowstorm. The ditches look great with snow in them. We are blessed to have the moisture!
