🌴 One of the most ENRAGING things about being a homeowner in Henderson, Nevada… 😂

Tell me I’m not the only one! Trying to keep landscaping alive in the Southern Nevada desert while also following seasonal watering restrictions can make you nuts.. 🌵💦

Are these watering schedule people currently in Michigan? City of Henderson. I hope their phone is ringing off the hook.

If you own a home in Henderson or the Las Vegas Valley, the water schedule is regulated, and they will fine you. I am not trying to be negative, but this is a reality that frustrates me as a homeowner. Don't these people care that it is still VERY summer!

Just a day in the life of actually living here — the neighborhoods, the community, homeownership costs, desert landscaping, local rules and, yes… the joys of trying to keep your plants alive in 100+ degree weather. 😂🌴

In 1987 you could swim up to a blackjack table built into a fake rock grotto at the Tropicana and play a few hands while your girlfriend sipped a daiquiri next to the dealer.

They had a special machine to dry out the $100 bills you used to buy your chips.

The table rules were terrible — you could only double down on 11, for example — but they figured if you're playing blackjack in a pool at 11am you're not too worried about math.

The "Island of Las Vegas" featured lagoons, waterfalls, waterslides, parrots on the walkways, and Hawaiian luaus at night.

It was arguably the best pool in town for about a decade.

Now it's a baseball stadium.
