Maybe the layout didn't work for them, or the yard was too small.

But every now and then, you get the dreaded one-liner.

No notes.

No context.

Just pure, unadulterated rejection.

You have to laugh, otherwise this industry will drive you crazy.

The final walkthrough is always a gamble.

You expect the house to be empty, broom-swept, and ready for the new owners.

You don't expect the gaping hole in the kitchen where the stainless steel French-door fridge used to be.

It happens more than you think.

A seller decides they just can't part with their favorite appliance, completely forgetting it was written into the contract.

Suddenly, my phone is ringing off the hook and closing is delayed over a Samsung.

What's the wildest thing you've seen a seller take with them?

I love a high-end listing, but sometimes "state-of-the-art" just means we're all going to be standing in the dark for 15 minutes.

There is nothing quite like the collective panic of three agents and a seller staring at a glowing wall tablet, terrified that pressing the "Panic Mode" button will deploy the pool cover instead of turning on the kitchen pendants.

Give me a classic toggle switch any day.
