Nice tract of winter work in Carroll county va

09/19/2026

This week we concluded a long summer of our time working for Helene Storm damage victims in East Tennessee and WNC.

Timber for local families in our area is a lot more than what it seems on the surface. It’s a semester of college tuition for a son or daughter, it’s paying medical bills for a loved one’s treatment, it might be the jumpstarter for a new hay barn or expanding a small family farm.

When Helene took that from so many folks, we can’t imagine what they felt.

We are thankful for the Tennessee and North Carolina departments of forestry and both their state and federal partners for realizing that gap that was created after the storm.

We are also thankful for the opportunity to be in contact and help so many landowners and families in our area. We are reminded of how important community is and that sometimes folks just need a little help.

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Parton and Owens families. As you all well know our work area is primarily the southern and central Appalachian region, with much of our work originating in East Tennessee. We have always taken pride in serving a wide spectrum of clients with different backgrounds and goals, but one constant with all folks was a respect and adoration of Dolly. Dolly’s people are our people and we attempt to take her positivity and kindness along with us every day in our work. “Well done thy good and faithful servant.” We will miss you Dolly, you were the best of us.
