The cost of homes and interest rates have definitely gone up over the past few years. The thought of giving up your low rate and low mortgage can be scary! But make sure you're getting the whole picture before deciding that it's just too expensive to buy a new home. You could use that equity to buy your rate down and have a substantial down payment on that new mortgage! You may be surprised by what your new payment would actually be!

Buying a home isn't always a straight path from point A to point B. Sometimes you get detoured and it doesn't end up being a quick and easy process.

The Oropezas met with me in August of 2023. We talked about what they were looking for in their first home purchase, we looked at homes and eventually found this home.

But the stars didn't align, right away, for them to purchase the home last fall. They stayed diligent though and after a couple of hiccups and some amazing patience, they are now the owners of this beautiful farmhouse on the northside of Holland.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them on this journey and so proud of their tenacity to get into their first home!

Huge shoutout to Linda Struer on her willingness to always work through the challenges we faced and Amy Hendrickson and her team for being the rockstars that they always are!
