Hawaii’s housing market proves once again: demand for detached homes is still red-hot! 🔥
Everyone knows the two big buyer groups driving this:
• Military families on relocation moves
• Out-of-state retirees chasing their dream island lifestyle
But there’s another growing force fueling the market: the “return flow” or boomerang buyers!
• People who left Hawaii years ago are now coming back after starting families — wanting their kids to experience a real “Hawaii childhood”
• Others are returning to be closer to aging parents for caregiving and family time
• Residents from the neighbor islands are moving to Oahu as they get older, drawn to better medical access and more complete daily conveniences
