Reeds Beach isn't just a pretty spot on the map — it's a genuinely famous one. This little stretch of the Delaware Bay is one of the great wildlife stopovers on the Atlantic Flyway, the place naturalists travel from all over the world to see. We border a protected refuge, so the show comes right to the deck: ospreys working the water, herons stalking the shallows, a bald eagle gliding past like it pays the taxes here, and in the shallows the ancient horseshoe crabs that have been coming ashore longer than any of us.
