Great news, Sugar Land homeowners! ✨🏠The Great Homes Update Program is expanding in 2026 so more residents can qualify for funding.
Starting Jan. 1, homeowners can apply for up to 50% reimbursement on eligible exterior upgrades, a new option designed to better support those with homes in the lowest 3% of single-family property values. These homes often face the biggest reinvestment challenges, and this change makes it easier to complete important improvements.
“This expansion gives more homeowners—especially in our oldest neighborhoods—greater access to improvements that strengthen their homes and support healthy, long-lasting neighborhoods,” said Devon Rodriguez, Director of Redevelopment.
