So... my current hometown is now in the world series with my former hometown! Talk about conflicted!! Bisnow has this interesting article as to how the CRE markets in each metro area stack up!
Houston is, IMHO, more ripe with opportunity for business due to the lower cost of living, massive industrial market, and a strong base in private industry. The 19% vacancy rate quoted only speaks to the opportunity for office tenants to strike a fantastic deal!

Fun fact that has no relevance whatsoever: I have been to 9 pro baseball games in person. Whether I lived in DC or Houston, 7 out of 9 of those games were Astros vs. Nationals!
