Avoid doing business with SECURED TITLE OF TEXAS!!!
In my 20 years working as a realtor, never have I needed to do a bad review on a title company. As the saying goes, there’s always a first time.
SECURED TITLE of TEXAS on Katy freeway takes the cake. The escrow officer, Kacie was rude from beginning to end.
I was the buyers agent and Kacie was very rude to my client & she was rude to me in multiple occasions throughout the transaction.
I spoke to the listing agent about switching companies and he was okay with my request. Kacie called me very angry blaming my client, claiming my client was not including the team in the emails and for not being able to deposit the EM. I figured, since we finally had her attention maybe the transaction would run smoothly after that point, so, I left it alone and did not switch, I was so wrong.
We got past this issue but we had yet more communication issues.
When we got to closing, she was frustrated, she had to re-do several documents and a copy of a survey was not included in my clients folder. I asked for a copy and she rolled her eyes before she proceeded to get a copy.
She handle this transaction very poorly & unprofessional. She did not check the funds received from the buyers. About an hour after we had signed and left the office, I got a call saying the buyer was short $1,000. A few minutes later, I received another call saying to disregard, the money was not short.
Now, this was a cash transaction, buyer signed in the morning, and you will not believe this transaction did not fund.
It’s Friday and a cash deal doesn’t fund on the same day???? This is ridiculous!!
Agents, maybe you’ve had a better experience than me, but if you haven’t done business with this title company, you may want to avoid it!
