What does your credit score need to be to buy a home?
580+, but depending on your debt to income ratio the better answer is 640+ and you’re gonna start to get the best interest rate and lowest down payments
2. Whats the average downpayment on a home?
3.5-5% of the purchase price - $100,000 = $3,500
3. All depends on your debt to income ratio — how much you make vs how much you pay out monthly
on bills/debt
4. What are closing cost? Closing cost are separate from your downpayment and include things like: property taxes, prepaid insurance policy, origination and other lender fees
Note that these fees are something that can be negotiated into the contract and paid for by the sellers
5. Is my “zestimate” pretty accurate? Sometimes… but because zillow has never actually seen your home, never been inside and has no idea what the condition is like… it’s basically an educated guess based off a random formula their computers create - the best bet to get an accurate market price for your home is by reaching out to me. lol… I mean or any other reputable Realtor
6. How long does the process take? Buying or Selling? From the point we have agreed upon contract… 30-45 days is how long it can take to close. Now the time for the buyer before they find their dream home and the time for the seller before they find a buyer varies depending on the wants and needs of the buyer and the price point and location of the sellers home.
7. Why are homes so expensive? You should of seen the prices last year?! The goal of real estate is simple… “Don’t wait to buy Real Estate, buy Real Estate and wait!”
8. I can’t find what I want in my price range, what do I do? Don’t be so picky, the same thing happens to all price ranges… people shopping around 200 want something in the 250s, people in the 250s want what’s in the 300s etc. No matter what the price point people will want more. What you’ll have to realize is that you can’t always shop for alllllll of the “WANTS” and sometimes need to focus on your “NEEDS” first and then you’ll be able to narrow down your best options
9. Are there programs out there for “First Time Home Buyers”? The funny thing about this question, is that people who ask this question already know there is… that’s why you’re asking… the real question you wanna ask is…. “How do I get some of that?” - I got you! Message me to find out more
10. Nicole, I already know all this stuff… I’m ready to BUY/SELL a home. What do we do next? Again, I got you… message me to find out more details on what to do next!
