On June 19, we commemorate Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. As a Houston-based organization, we recognize the significance of this historic day in our state's history and celebrate the enduring contributions, achievements, and leadership of Black Americans in our communities and workplaces.

🏆 The 2nd Annual Co****le Clash was a huge success!

IREM Houston and Houston BOMA members came together for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking, and industry camaraderie—all while supporting a great cause.

Congratulations to BOMA for defending its title for the second year in a row, and to David Smith and Pierre Perez of Hines for taking home the championship! 🎉

Most importantly, both organizations WON thanks to the incredible generosity of our community! $20,000 was raised for educational scholarships—double last year's total. The funds will be split equally between the IREM Houston and Houston BOMA scholarship programs, helping support the next generation of commercial real estate professionals.
