When challenges come their way, our kids know how to roll with the punches! 💪🥊💥

New Hope Housing proudly offers the True Ringleaders Boxing Club at NHH Reed, Savoy, and Berry for children aged 7-18. Houston Rockets boxing coach, Mark Owens, equips our incredible young residents with the motivation to become confident, build positive connections, and develop valuable leadership skills.

Thank you to Chevron for making this program possible and for believing in New Hope’s little leaders.

With the right tools and a caring community behind them, children living in New Hope’s communities can face any obstacle that comes their way. 💙

New Hope Housing was proud to support Community Family Centers at their Thriving Families Luncheon, honoring the John P. McGovern Foundation. 💙 We were especially pleased to see our very own Casandra Riojas, Manager of Special Projects & Operations Team Coordinator, serve as event co-chair. 🌟 Community Family Centers is a truly worthy organization making a meaningful impact across our community every day. We are grateful for our continued partnership and honored to have been part of such an inspiring event!

This summer, children living at New Hope Housing Reed turned their creativity into real-world skills! 📸✨

Through an eight-week social media program hosted by Moshe Media Group, in partnership with Resurrection Houston Church and Havah Life, participants learned the fundamentals of digital media, storytelling, video production, and creative problem-solving skills that will serve them in school and beyond.

Putting their skills into action, the kids interviewed longtime Sunnyside residents, capturing their stories and experiences for a documentary titled “Sunnyside Through Our Lens.”
This past Saturday, our young filmmakers proudly premiered their documentary at a fall community showcase.

We couldn't be prouder of their creativity and hard work. A heartfelt thank you to our community partners for empowering the next generation of storytellers! 💫

Our residents at New Hope Housing Avenue C recently gathered for a special "Pink Out Bingo" to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From wearing our best pink to enjoying a little friendly competition, it was an incredible day filled with laughter and community spirit. New Hope’s recent team-building came with a few wild discoveries for New Hope Housing! 🦓🦁

Our corporate and onsite leadership team stepped outside the usual workday for fun-filled scavenger hunts at the Houston Zoo to explore the value of teamwork, navigating challenges to find creative solutions, and effective communication skills to strengthen the work we do for our communities.

Our team left stronger, more connected, and ready to bring renewed purpose to the work ahead.

Avenue C residents were all smiles as they danced the morning away.💃🕺

This past Thursday, residents at Avenue C enjoyed modified Zumba in partnership with the YMCA. This class was designed as an accessible way for active adults (55+) to stay energized, fit, and moving.

Residents also learned about YMCA's fitness programs and simple ways to incorporate movement into their daily routines to support their health and well-being.

A big thank you to the YMCA for helping make wellness fun and accessible for New Hope residents!

New Hope loves connecting with the communities we serve through our affordable Housing + Services, especially when we get to see board member Bolivar Moyano Fraga and our dear friend State Representative Christina Morales out and about!

Last night, we had a great time at National Night Out at Settegast Park, hosted by the Morales Memorial Foundation, Segundo Civic Club & Super Neighborhood 63. There was a wonderful turnout and great entertainment, but our favorite part had to be the amazing performance by the Kinder High School Mariachi Group!

New Hope Housing is on the move! 🏗️

As Houston’s need for affordable housing continues to grow, so does our commitment to creating communities where individuals, families, and seniors can find stability and opportunity.

🏠At NHH Canal, built more than 20 years ago in the Second Ward/East End, a renovation is underway to make important improvements throughout the community, ensuring Canal can continue providing quality Housing + Services for decades to come.

And there’s more HOPE on the horizon! Three new communities are underway or in development:

🏠 The JHB at Acres Homes: 103 apartment homes for families in Acres Homes
🏠 NHH Little York: 80 apartment homes for families in TIRZ 22
🏠 The Boyd at Westover: 144 apartment homes for families in Southeast Houston

Together, these communities will add 327 new affordable apartment homes with the capacity to welcome more than 800 people.

There is so much more ahead, and we can’t wait to have you along for the journey.
