If your Lease is getting to the end of its term and you are looking to get into a new place, consider the time frames you need to notify your landlord. Some leases require you to notice them the day before the first of the month, some require on the first of the month, some 30 days in advance, and some up to 90 days in advance.

I was interviewed by a nationally syndicated news channel out of Denver on a YouTube video I did recently. Apparently, the video on Surveillance cameras caught the eye of the National news.

I am enclosing the link of one of the stations that the video and article aired on so you can see it. It has been brought to our attention more and more as we help buyers find homes that Cameras in the home are becoming the norm. What we are finding out is the seriousness of the situation when the buyers go in the home to preview the home to buy and start discussing their personal information and feelings.

We decided a while ago as an office that each client we work needs to be told about the potential of cameras in the home before you go in. We know that not all houses have cameras and the ones that do mostly don't have sound attached to them. But we believe it's serious enough that it warrants a conversation before we even start looking at homes.

Enclosed is the story that has picked up national attention. We are hopeful that it will bring this issue to light with lawmakers to help buyers protect their privacy when negotiating and purchasing homes. Right now this issue is in its infancy, so all we can do is warn. Below is the link to the story.
