Don’t accept that property tax counteroffer just because it was sent to you.

If you received a property tax counteroffer, don’t assume it’s your only option.

Once your protest is submitted and your supporting comps are reviewed, the county will typically respond with a counteroffer.

Here’s the key:
You are not required to accept that number.

If your comps support a lower value, you have every right to:
✔️ Decline the counteroffer
✔️ Move forward with your hearing
✔️ Stand on your data

Because this number directly affects:
• Your monthly mortgage payment if your taxes are escrowed
• Or the amount you pay in property taxes each year if you pay out of pocket

If someone is asking you to pay more, they should be able to justify it.

And if I pulled comps for you?
You already have the proof.

Don’t be intimidated. Be informed. Be confident.

🚨 Reminder: The deadline to file your protest is May 15th.
