Before you pop the ch*****ne let’s make sure everything is squared away so your closing day doesn’t come with surprises.

Here are 5 things agents commonly forget before closing (and how to stay ahead):

- Final Walk-Through: Confirm it’s scheduled and clients know what to look for.

- Commission Instructions: Make sure they’re submitted and accurate—no one wants payout delays.

- Title Contact Info: Double-check that the buyer, seller, and lenders all have the right points of contact.

- Repair Receipts: If repairs were agreed upon, make sure receipts and photos are collected and delivered.

- Utility Transfers: Remind your clients to schedule their utility start/stop dates—it’s one less thing for you to handle last minute.

Keep this checklist handy— save it, share it, and refer back to it before every closing!

Form Updates Coming Soon

📢 Contract Form Updates

Several TREC contract forms have been updated. Changes include a new Water Disclosure, updates to the Seller’s Disclosure Notice, revisions to contract language, and a new form related to back-up contracts.

Forms adopted for voluntary use (like the Seller’s Disclosure Notice, the Lead-Based Paint Addendum, and the new Seller’s Notice to Buyer of Removal of Contingency) may now be used. The remaining forms are also available for voluntary use until July 1, 2026, when their use becomes mandatory.
